I'm one of the admins of The Promised Neverland Wiki. I would like to have a partnership (read:affiliation) with your community. This is our wordmark, by the way. If you agree to my proposal, please notify me by replying to the same thread.
I'm looking forward to your positive response. If you have any questions, or if I'm asking in the wrong place, please let me know. Thank you~!
Heyy, so I've only now started ONS, and I was looking through the episode list on Wikipedia, and on here, after that. I saw how reliable you were on the Season 3 topic, so I was wondering if you could help me on the episodes' release dates, the mangas (never read one, but I'd love to start), what sites are the most, etc. Basically, the whole anime introduction thing, since it's /much/ different than a tv show. I don't know if it's easier to text on Twitter, Instagram, etc. I have them both, if you want them, just request, please. I really think you could help me through this.
I was attempting to create a catergory page for the characters that got ressurected however seeing that I am a relative newbie at editing I accidentally created a normal article page. I was hoping that you could delete it or actually turn it into a catergory page. I'm sorry for troubling you.
Although I know a lot about Seraph of the End, I also consider myself to be a newbie editor! Unfortunately, I don't know how to make category pages either. I would have to Google it. You should try asking one of the other administrators.
Hi. My name is Infoseeker95, and I am a more recent contributer to this wiki in comparison to you and some of the others here. I want to help this wiki in any way I can, and I look forward in continuing to working with you in building the Seraph of the End wiki. Wish you a good day!
Hello hello! I haven't been around lately on the wikia haha but here I am again ready to help!
The reason I'm posting this message to you is because lately I've been messaged repeatedly via Twitter and Tumblr and even Skype about false information being put into the wikia (for instance the so-called biological ages going around). As far as I know, I have not seen any canon information presented about that sort of topic, so I've gone around removing all of them on whichever character's page that has it.
I've also been complained to about being entering false trivia information or history/past information (though I could see most of this has been dealt with). What I ask is should we spare these people any more chances? If the ones who are making these incorrect edits are ones without account, shall we go ahead and block them straight-away from editing (via their IP addresses) so that they may not pull something like such again? I understand for those who do have accounts, they need to be around for 5 days at least before being able to edit protected pages. Not only that, we also give them warnings on several occassions before we put our foot down.
I'm mainly concerned about those with no accounts coming in and editing unprotected pages and added false information that, unfortunately seems to rile up the older fandom members and they choose to seek me out and rant to me about it. Unfortunately, I cannot do much about the situation besides simply undoing and removing the errors as since I am not an admin, which is why I bring this to notice with you, an admin. I would like to also discuss this with Shadow but she is busy enough dealing with the wikia almost every day every moment so rather I'd like to discuss this with you instead.
Please tell me what your thoughts are about this, thank you! And sorry again about not being active for a while now, but I'm still glad to help out with the wikia!
I have also been fairly absent for the past half a year or so to finish up school, so I haven't been able to monitor the bad edits as much as I'd like. I've started a list of things that need to be fixed-up or checked over. Feel free to add to it, if you'd like: http://owarinoseraph.wikia.com/wiki/Thread:14959
Thank you for fixing the bio ages! I have no idea who put them in there.
I put protection on many of the pages, which has effectively stopped most bad edits since we were mobbed by them when the anime first came out. Only people with accounts can edit those pages now. If one of the pages doesn't have protection, let me know, and I'll ammend the situation.
As for people who have accounts, I still block them depending on how much work they cause for the rest of us, how annoying, or how malicious they are. They know what they're doing and cause far more grief for us than any help they do for the Wiki. I have absolutely no problem banning people. Just let me know what's going on, and I will take care of it.
EDIT: I tried to give you administrative status, so you can do the protection and blocking yourself instead of going through me. Let me know if it doesn't work or if you have any questions.
Ahh I posted a reply to you but when I actually tried to send it, it seemed to be deleted? There was far too much things I said that I'm not really willing to retype everything haha so I'll summarize.
Good luck with school! I know how troublesome it can become D: (I also have school too so I can only be dedicated to the wikia on weekends etc.) and also thank you for the link I'll be sure to check it out sometime later when I have more free time!
Alright so the agreement is that depending on how severe the wrong edits are made by people, we can either give them warnings and second chances or outright ban/block them on their first offense, correct? Would it be more efficient if we make a post about it and have new people coming in with accounts to read it? Of course, naturally people should know not to enter false information in the first place, more so not to screw around and mess up hardwork by fooling around just for fun. I suppose if someone new joins and somehow misses reading the introduction post about what they can do and what they shouldn't do, then perhaps we could give them a warning just that one time, and if they repeatedly to the same thing then we just immediately block them, right?
Sorry if I sound confusing haha it's almost midnight here I'm quite exhausted but am glad to discuss this situation with you.
Also, thank you for granting me administrative status. I'm quite surprised really, but I'm glad to be able to help out with the wikia even more. I do however have a question haha; I have no inkling of a clue on how to put protection on pages nor to block users (I haven't met with a user yet that I found the need to block). I know these may be simple things to know how to do but frankly I've only really helped out on this wikia, and most of the time it's just correcting information and spelling or adding in new information and pages. I'm not really familiar with coding and formatting etc. so I would greatly appreciate it if you may explain to me how to do that!
Sorry about the long reply haha I just have a lot to say. Thank you however for replying! :D
We don't have any specific rules about when to block people. It doesn't necessarily happen all that often (except when the anime first came out), so just doing what's reasonable is fine. I don't think anyone is going to look for a rulebook or anything first.
Any help is appreciated.
Protecting pages - When you go to a page and see the edit/history/etc. tab at the top, the protection/change protection tab should be under there. It's pretty self-explanatory once you click on it.
Blocking Users - I usually do this by going into the history for a page. Next to the edits, there are options for blocking the culprits. You can click on that and then specify the length of time.
If you do not see the option to protect pages or change protection when you go to a page, then it means I flopped in trying to turn you into an admin. I haven't done that before either. I usually use Google to look up any Wikia questions. When I make a new page, I usually copy and paste the source formatting code of another page. The more you play around, the more you will learn new tricks. The other admins are great help, too.
Sorry for responding on someone else's wall, but In order to protect a page, you must be an admin on that wiki. ResidentialPsycho is not an admin on that wiki, so you would need to contact one of the people on this page.
